Welcome to my Bugeye project

Welcome to my latest project. I am building a 1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite with a little twist. I'm putting in a 3.0 V-6 SHO engine.
Be sure to check back for updates on the progress and please leave a comment if you have any questions, feedback or advice for me.

my welding projects

Taking a break from the car as i'm waiting for parts to arrive to let me finish the fuel injectors and then the engine. In the mean time i finished a couple of my first welding projects.

Here is my new welding cart just painted.
and here it is with everything attached and such
Here is a pedestal i built for a grinder i picked up at the swap meet so i could do some polishing.
with the grinder installed.

You did a great job! That's a very innovative way of making a cart. What welding or metal fabricating did you use for creating that?

The welding cart looks nice and sturdy! How long did it take you to finish it? The project looks simple; I think the wire mesh would’ve been the greatest challenge, provided that you built it from scratch. Oh, how’s the car doing now? Good luck with your future projects!

Thanks Jeanette,

The cart was pretty easy to make, given it was my first welding project. The mesh was a little tricky, but it came out great.

Car project has been a little slow lately, derailed by other projects, but I hope to get back on it soon.
