The clutch disk from a 1991-1994 Chevy Lumina or Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.4 DOHC V6 will fit the Ranger input shaft and the SHO flywheel/pressure plate. It is 1/16" of an inch smaller in diameter than a stock SHO clutch, a negligable difference.SHOBoomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441401194711710873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6264123395826000522.post-80618902789979935062009-04-15T09:16:00.000-07:002009-04-15T09:16:00.000-07:00yes let me know what Mustang clutch disc works... ...yes let me know what Mustang clutch disc works... I remember someone saying that the Mustang disc is listed as 10.4 but is actually the same size as the SHO one, except with the right splines. I'm trying to find some more definite information, I'll let you know if I find anything.SHOBoomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441401194711710873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6264123395826000522.post-30481378517231031682009-04-14T21:22:00.000-07:002009-04-14T21:22:00.000-07:00the pressure plate isn't an issue. It fits fine. but the SHO clutch disc has the wrong inner spline to fit the Ranger transmission.

I'm told a Mitsubishi clutch from a 3000GT VR4 will work as it has the right clutch plate diameter and correct inner spline for the Ranger transmission or you can get a custom clutch made with those right pieces. I'm looking into both options now. I'll let you know what i go with.Ben..https://www.blogger.com/profile/01315101758799220654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6264123395826000522.post-73539491824529279262009-04-14T20:54:00.000-07:002009-04-14T20:54:00.000-07:00Hey, I just noticed you said you'd need a custom p...Hey, I just noticed you said you'd need a custom plate for the clutch. I don't think you do. There is a Mustang pressure plate that fits fine, according to a few other RWD SHO swaps. I've heard that both the SVO (84-86 turbo 2.0) and 5.0 pressure plates fit. You may want to do a bit more research though, just to make sure before you buy.SHOBoomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441401194711710873noreply@blogger.com
